Missions: Heartbeat of God

By the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19,20), we are told how important the spreading of the Gospel is to Christ. Supporting missions is a great way to accomplish this goal.

. Matthew 28:19,20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Missions: Community and Beyond!

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all thing whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

New Life Baptist Church financially, and prayerfully, supports various mission works through Faith Promise Giving. This practice focuses on God’s ability to provide through His people, rather than dependence on the capabilities of human effort. We place faith that the Lord will provide that which He has lead us to promise to those who take the gospel around the world. These men and women forsake all to be obedient to God’s calling and the least we can do to help them accomplish this is to support them prayerfully and financially.

Every March we hold our Missions Conference & Revival. This is a special time to refocus our attention to what God has called the church to do concerning world evangelism. The theme of these meetings are centered around the challenge to the believer to prayerfully seek God to reveal what role He’d have them personally to take in world evangelism. The meetings are also a great opportunity to learn more about individual mission fields and those who God has called to go. It’s an enlightening and encouraging event that educates us of the importance of worldwide missions. Soon after these meetings are completed the church prayerfully considers which mission works are to be supported for that coming year.

Through Our Faith Promise Missions offering, New Life Baptist Church supports many missionaries both near and far. We realize, although we may not be called to go to a foreign land to spread the gospel, that we do have a responsibility to help those that are called. I am excited to see how the Lord has moved on the hearts of His people for the furtherance of the Good News. My prayer is that we never lose sight of the Great Commission and we reach people with what God has given us and where He has placed us. Please visit our site often to see what God is doing through the missionaries that we support.
